  • This area focuses on targeting modifiable lifestyle behaviors and risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease prevention. Current research in this area centers around the impact of becoming a father on men's cardiovascular health.

  • This area addresses the challenges of food access, availability, and utilization among at-risk populations. It seeks to develop and implement strategies to improve nutritional outcomes and overall well-being for those facing food and nutrition insecurity.

  • This area involves testing various dietary patterns to determine their effectiveness in preventing chronic disease. It aims to identify optimal approaches that can be tailored to different populations and individual needs to maximize adherence. Current research involves a particular focus on behavioral interventions that support sustainable adoption of plant-based dietary patterns.

    Examining key factors that impact utilization of campus essential needs services among undocumented and immigration-impacted Latinx students across the University of California system

  • Long-Term Weight Management

    Examine predictors of successful long-term weight loss and maintenance among participants in the DIETFITS study 8-10 years after their initial enrollment.
